Rafael arrived in China in 2011 as a representative of the University of Alcalá in Asia based in Shanghai. For six years he toured China and several Asian countries making connections and representation work with Asian universities, institutions and companies, especially Chinese. For five years he has been a professor of History, Interculturality and International Relations at Fudan University (Shanghai) and continues with his work of representation and development of projects for several Spanish universities in China. He holds a doctorate in Contemporary History from the Autonomous University of Madrid and in Applied Linguistics from the University of Alcalá.
